2007.03.18 - A Drive up to Snoqualmie
< Back to Currently

The Shadow Lady and I took a drive up to Snoqualmie... mostly because we needed to get out - we've both been run down with a cold and the flu.

It wasn't very cold up there... but the snow bank was still a good ways over my head, so I guess its still technically "winter" up there.

It had been an off-and-on rainy day, with some sun breaks.

Driving up, we were treated to some nice scenery...

The snow had melted quite a bit, but there was still enough to make it look like we were up in the mountains, still...

Have I ever mentioned that I like this restaurant?  :-)
After we ate, we checked out a few spots where the snowmelt was apparent...

The streams cascade into the rivers, which snake down to the valleys below, on their way to the Ocean.
Ski Season is still on, although there's not too many folks still at it.

There's not a lot of new snow, so the folks who like the "fluffy stuff" typically stay home around this time of year.

It was a nice drive, and a good jaunt out of the house.
