2006.11.11 - Swollen Snoqualmie

We went up to Snoqualmie Falls on our way to the Pass to see how swollen the river was from all the rain we've been having...  It wasn't as bad as it was on the news from a few days ago... but there was a lot of water cascading over the falls!  It was an awesome roar, and an impressive sight.

Typically, the water flow over Snoqualmie Falls looks like this image, from July 1st...

Today, though, the river had a lot of water pouring over the small diversion wall, which is there to ensure there is enough water to power the generation station... surely not a problem right now!

The water made a tremendous noise, and the spray soaked the observation area.

It was quite an impressive sight, and well worth the stop!
