Riding the bus is cool.

You don't have to drive.  You just sit there.  A bus comes by every 15 minutes, so if you miss one, the next one will take you.

I'm really liking the "Urbanite" thing.

Leaving work, I thought the view I had of the tower I'm in was pretty cool...

Now I know how it feels to be on the other side of the ramp... I stopped when I drove, just to make sure no one was coming.

But, I've seen several ambulances whisking people away, so I guess not everyone is so courteous... I kept my eye on the sign.

Its about a half a block from where I work to the Bellevue Transit Center.

There's several "Express" busses that leave from there to the various park and rides spread out around the Metro area... Its almost too easy.

I've checked the Internet several times, I have a printout of the schedule in my bag, and I checked it right before I left to make sure...

But I still look at the Kiosk just to make sure.

The waiting area at the transit center is actually pretty nice.

Very interesting roof support structures.

The bus I take is usually pretty empty.

They're not bad, actually... fairly comfortable seats, and reasonably clean.  The ride on them isn't too bad, either.

My stop.  It takes about 10 minutes to get here.

The park and ride here is being upgraded from a surface lot to a parking garage.  That'll make it nice.

The Cement Strike sort of set things back, but since it was settled, a lot of progress has been made.

When its not raining, I walk the rest of the way.  There's hills, but its not very far - a bit over a mile or so.

Very quickly after leaving the park and ride, the trail leaves the streetside, and becomes MUCH more pleasant.

This trail seems to go where I'm wanting to, but once it gets to the top of the rise, it cuts back, and goes completely the wrong way.

I made that mistake already.

The trail is quite nice.

With the cooling weather after a very dry summer, the trees are jumping at the opportunity to shed their leaves - color is already ramping up.

Nearing the end, the trail rejoins the street, and takes you over a bridge that goes over the highway...

Heading up the hill to the complex I live in... This is actually pretty close to where the bus picks me up to go to work.

The flowers are still nice.  They're around most of the trees, too.

My Building.

I really don't like the new color.  It used to be a nice shade of blue.

The brown just doesn't seem to go with the brick, and the shutters clash even worse!

Just as I was getting there, it started to rain.

Another five minutes, and it was POURING... I timed it pretty well, I think.

In all, the bus and walk is a nice, relaxing way to end the day, and a great seqway into the rest of the afternoon and evening.

I have to ask myself... why didn't I do this sooner???
