2006.04.23 - Drive To Mt Rainier |

The Shadow Lady went on a business Trip, so I went to Mt Rainier to check
out the snow, kill off a day, and otherwise keep myself busy... I ended
up having a GREAT time! The closer you got, the better the view! |

The snow got pretty deep as I headed higher up the slopes of the
mountain... |

By the time I got to the Paradise parking lot... the snow was VERY deep!
Its amazing they could keep the place open! |

Walking up to the entrance of the Pavilion... it was pretty impressive! |

 |
inside, there's several displays, information placards, a display of
animals in the park, and a move theater. The view from the panorama of
the top floor of the Pavilion is VERY impressive! |

Driving back down, I really enjoyed the views of glaciers, forest lined
roadways... I had a great time, and took my time driving back. |

|
Pizza in Elbe, and a parting view of the mountain finished out a great
day. |
