We went to Dan Wilson Night. Dan has been our trusty catcher for a surprising number of years, but all good things come to an end eventually, and Dan's run is no different. So, befitting of a player who remained loyal to his team and the fans, we sent him off in a special ceremony. He actually retired last year, and played one last inning in a game at the end of the season last year - we were at that game too... this time, though, it was purely a good by and a thanks for the memories. |

While we were walking into the stadium to our seats, we walked down the
"Hall of Fame", and I took a picture of the wall marker that showed Dan
hitting his inside the park grand slam. During the lead-up to the ceremony, they showed it on the jumbo tron... quite the play! |

Dan Wilson had left his mark on the fans and the city... an made an impact
on the players who played with him over the years... Even Lou came to say good bye! |

The speech by Dan, which was a bit long, was actually quite good, laced
with memories and funny stories from his career, and many thank you's. With a wave, he walked off the field. |
