The Shadow Lady and I had a meeting in Gig Harbor - with the folks we went
to Guatemala with - and while heading over there, we got a change to
drive across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, which let us take a gander at
the construction of the new bridge... always a nice treat!

| They've really come a long ways with the bridgework... the towers are long done, and the suspension cables are more than halfway completed now... one of them already has connectors for the downward-hanging deck support cables being attached... it was pretty striking! | ||||||||

On the way back, we were treated to a light show of sorts... the catwalks for the suspension cables are kept lit up at night, providing a nice outline of the new bridge. | |||||||
