The Shadow Lady and I took a Sunday Afternoon Ride, and ended up in Mulilteo, and took some pictures of the Lighthouse there.

While we were there, a ferry came in, and the idea hit us that it might be nice to take a short jaunt on the ferry, just for the fun of it.

The sunset was pretty nice... the clouds were going to block the better part of it, but it still looked pretty nice...

Mt Baker was almost glowing on the horizon when we left for the ferry terminal.

We actually missed that ferry, and had to wait for the next one...

The wait wasn't long, and we had a nice conversation during the lull in the action, so it was nice.

We were about the first car on the ferry, and once we parked, we went up to lounge area, and got a good seat.  The view leaving was pretty nice!

We were on the Ferry "Kittitas", one of the "Issaquah" class ferries, built in 1980 and overhauled in 1990.

It actually was pretty empty.  Not a lot of people heading that way on a Sunday Afternoon.

After we crossed the ferry heading the other direction (they run in pairs), we went back down to the truck and watched the docking...
Once we docked, we got off the ferry, and got in the back of the line to head the other way.  We didn't make the first ferry out - there were a LOT more people going that way - but we made it on the next one easily enough.

The "Cathlamet" brought us back to the mainland, and we drove home... a nice ending to a great day.
