2005.11.23 - When A busy highway is a blessing |

We, (the Shadow Lady and I) were driving into Seattle. Being so
close to the holidays, the commute was TERRIBLE. But, as it sometimes
goes, we were blessed with an amazing sunset, and because the traffic
was so slow, we managed to enjoy a view that we might otherwise have
only gotten a glance at, or missed altogether.
All part of the plan, I think... |

The Space Needle really stood out, and for a short time, the angle of the
buildings reflected the setting sun's light... combined with the color
of Lake Union... it was quite amazing! |

As we moved slowly closer to our destination, Queen Anne Hill moved out of
the way of the line of site to the sunset, and the scene took on a whole
new look! |

Its been a while since the Needle looked so good! |

The traffic didn't really break until well after we had gotten through the
'downtown' portion of the city...
We didn't seem to mind much, though... |

Before too long, the angles changed, and we could see the Olympics behind
the Needle... and to top it all off, Mt Rainier made a nice showing...
We almost regretted the traffic breaking up!
