I had an appointment down in Olympia, so I used my "9/80" day to go down
there. It was a VERY nice day... light clouds, blue sky, warm, light
breeze... it was an outstanding day, especially for October.
I took advantage of the day, and went to check out the Capital... a
"typical" thing for me to do... |

|
Even with the leaves officially listed as "past prime", they looked nice
against the backdrop of the green lawns and the capital dome.... It was
very nice. |

I grabbed a sandwich from Subway, and went over to Percival's landing,
where it meets the 4th Avenue Bridge, by the "Thriftway" store, and ate
lunch outside, taking a short walk along the docks at the landing
afterwards to kill off some time. |
|
I was hoping to see some late-running salmon, but all's I saw in the way
of wildlife were some curious sea gulls, begging for a handout.
There were some puny fish, but mostly, it was just the shells of the
oysters that made Olympia famous back in the day. I obliged, of
course, and then headed off to my appointment. |
