The Saskatoon Blades came to town, and we went to watch. It ends up
being the only meeting this season between Saskatoon and Seattle. We met
a friend of the Shadow Lady's out front of the Key Arena, then we made our
way into the stadium, and ate inside. |

It had been rainy and cloudy for most of the day, but as we got to the
Seattle Center, the Sun was out, and the Needle was looking quite
outstanding! |

|
We got there in time to watch the warm-up... both teams seemed pretty
fired up for the game, which is always a good thing to see. The
Washington Air National Guard brought out the Colors. The funny
thing is that these guys brought out the colors at the Coliseum, too, in
the away game against the Winterhawks. |

It was nice seeing the new banner! They won it all once, then had a dry
spell. The last three seasons have been pretty productive. |

The puck dropped, and the game got underway. There was a fiar amount
of action, on both sides, but the T-Birds found themselves down two
goals, so they pulled the goalie. Unfortunately, it didn't work -- the
Blades actually got a open net goal. But, it was still a fun time,
and they played pretty well, actually... the Blade's goalie, a rookie,
was ON iIT. |

The Moon was nearly full, and it poked through the thinner portions of the
clouds, shining directly over the Space Needle -- It was a pretty
awesome shot! The water on the lake on the way home was like glass, it
was so smooth... a fitting end to a great evening! |
