Our season ticket packet took us to another game at Safeco Field to watch the Mariners host Baltimore.

We were running errands before the game, so rather than ride back home and take the bus, we just drove to the game, and this time we parked in the Mariner's parking garage... that way, we could take the Sky Bridge to our seats...

It had been raining most of the day... but as Game Time drew near, it was getting increasingly sunnier... they had the roof open, and it looked like another game outside, where it should be.

We got there before the gates opened up, and had to wait for a bit before entering the stadium.

I like doing that, though... its a nice "baseball" feeling to be one of the first few in the park... and watching batting practice is always a good thing.

We sat in the "club" area of the Terrace Club Level, where our seats are... it affords a good view of the field, and its nice to sit in comfort, talk, eat, and watch the activities on the field.
We walked through the "Hall of Fame" to our seats... remembering Seattle's glory days sure puts this season in perspective... two miserable seasons in a row, now... but, there's always next year!

We got to our seats about the time that someone on the Oriels was making good on a bet, or something... he was toting a pink purse, and a pink suitcase.  He got an appropriate spattering of applause...

The Seattle Fire Department provided the color guard, and the National Anthem was sung very nicely, in a nearly empty stadium...

Ichiro made it to first, then tried to steal second.

He was called out, but it looked like he had made it.

Mike Hardgrove, the manager, came out there, and got himself ejected arguing the call.

It was a lethargic night for the M's... but the grounds crew danced a jig... so it wasn't a COMPLETE loss!  :-)
The O's scored 4 runs, and ran for most of the game with a comfortable 4-0 lead.

In the 8th, the M's got 3 runs of a home run by Sexton, but the final result was a disappointing 5-3.

We took our time heading out... we even watched Rick and Dave do their thing... There wasn't really a rush.  we yapped for a while in the truck, waiting for traffic to clear, then I took the Shadow Lady home, and the day ended... in all, it was a GREAT Saturday, and a fun time.
