2005.02.19 - Impromptu Ferry Ride
< Back to Currently

After Church on a Sunny Sunday, a friend and I went down on the waterfront to grab something to eat.  We decided on Ivars Acres of Clams, which has some amazing seafood!

We both had planned on going in to work, but once we got down there, we were enjoying the scenery so much that we lingered a bit.

We were taking a look at the Russian Submarine that's down on the docks, and just walking around, talking and visiting... it was a perfect afternoon for it -- warm, sunny, and a slight breeze.

When a ferry came in, we decided to ride it across the Sound.

A ferry ride on a clear day is MORE than worth the price of admission... even if all's you're going to do is ride back!

We fed the seagulls the extras from our meal at Ivars... they seemed to really enjoy it!

We stayed on the other side (Bremerton) in a coffee shop, and talked until the Sun began to set, then hopped on the ferry back, to share the view...

We were NOT disappointed.  The Sunset was quite nice, with some amazing colors.

Nearing the City, we were treated to a tremendous View!

We didn't make it in to work that day, but that's OK... this was one day that we will not soon forget, I'm pretty sure of it.
