Its September, its Baseball, and its the RED SOX!!!

I've been to a few games at Safeco... so this time, I did something different... I left the truck at the Tacoma Dome Station, and took a bus.

Just as I was getting there... The WSU game ended at Seahawk Stadium, right next door.

I got there just about the time they were opening the gates for Batting Practice...

To commemorate the day, they gave away flags at the gate... I put mine in my hat.

Batting practice was fun to watch...

Then, just before the game started, they brought out the Seattle Police and Fire Department, and sang an extra song, and did a moment of silence for those who fell during the terrorist attack against the World Trade Center.

Just as the game was getting underway... they closed the roof.

Watching something that weighs 350 or so TONS move is pretty amazing...

Jamie Moyer pitched for the M's... he got beat up pretty good, though.

The grounds crew danced a Jig... it was GREAT!

The Red Sox are in a pennant race with Yankees... the M's are battling to NOT lose more than 100 games... it never was close!

I did discover that there's a sunroof in the roof of Safeco Field.

In the end, though, it didn't matter who won or lost (The Red Sox won, of course)... I had fun, and that's what're really important.
