< Back to Currently Obviously, with the country's second tallest mountain in the state, and
passes through the Cascades, we get to see our fair share of snow: Mt
Rainier gets about 200 feet a year, and the passes get anywhere from 50 to
100... but that's in the mountains...
Down in the lowlands, near the Sound, snow is a fairly rare thing...
MAYBE once or twice a year, if at all. Last year, we didn't get any
at all, and it only frosted a few times...
That streak ended on the 20th, though... it snowed. Not a lot, but
hey, it was snow!

Here's a shot of my house... with snow in the yard. Like I
said, not a whole lot, but when you don't get much... ANY is a big
deal! |

I head to work at 4 in the morning... the last view trips have begun
with some ice scraping... |
