2002 was a pretty eventful year... although I didn't keep up very well
with the "Current Events"... I think that's sort of a trend...

I went to Texas for Christmas. I'd never been there, and I jumped at the opportunity to go... I FINALLY got to see the Alamo!

I ran across this picture of the memorial of light that was put up near the wreckage of the WTC towers, and really liked it. I think I got it from FoxNews... at any rate, its probably copywrited, so don't spread it around too much!

I went to Maine for Uncle Bobby's annual family get-together. Uncle Ray and Aunt Germaine were there, as well as everyone from Uncle Bobby's side of the family. I had a good time! And it was very good to see everyone again... Here's some pics from the trip .

I've been made a technical lead at work... I didn't get much of a raise, but I'm now taking more of a leading role with the programmers in my team. I'm also the technical lead in the projects that our team works on, and on some I'll be the project manager... |

| 2002.03 - Knee Update | |
|
I DON'T NEED SURGERY! The PCL has tightened itself
up, and the MCL has reattached itself back to the bone, and is tightening
up nicely, and its now an option as to whether I want to have the surgery
or not. I have most of the strength back now, and it feels stronger
all the time. I'm doing physical therapy for that, and its coming
along nicely. I won't be able to ski or play ice hockey, but those
things weren't something I did much, anyway. As long as I don't get
crazy, it should be fine. AND, if it comes out that I feel I need it
later, I don't lose anything by waiting and having it later (which I doubt
I'll do at this point). |

| 2002.02 VS Live! Conference | |

I went to a Visual Studio Programmers Conference in San Fransisco...
It was a lot of fun! Lots of great classes, and I got to meet a lot of people and get new ideas... it was basically a Geek Fest, so I fit right in!
It was San Francisco, so I HAD to take some time after the classes were over to check stuff out... It was a lot of FUN!

| 2002.01 - Visited Rob | |
|
I went down to Rob's house... I had a fantastic time! I finally got
to meet his mom and dad, see his Mustang that he talked about so much,
and have a GREAT time! The drive down was interesting... through the passes in Southern Oregon, it was pretty snowy, but once in Redding, it was warm and sunny.
